Your ability to discipline yourself to set clear goals, and then to work toward them everyday, will do more to guarantee your success than any other single factor.
You've heard it said that, "You can't hit a target you can't see."
"If you don't know where you're going, any road will get you there."
Wayne Gretsky said, "You miss every shot you don't take."
It seems that only 3% of adults have written goals and plans, and they earn more than the other 97% put together.
Why is this? The simplest answer is that, if you have a clear goal and a plan to achieve it, your focus is fixed on a set course of action. Instead of becoming sidetracked by distractions and diversions, your time is focused on a straight line from start to finish. This is why people with goals accomplish so much more than people without them.
The tragedy is that everyone thinks they already have goals. But what they really have are hopes and wishes.
A wish has been defined as a "goal with no energy behind it." Hope is not a strategy.
Goals that are not written down and developed into plans are like bullets without powder in the cartridge. People with unwritten goals go through life shooting blanks. Because they think they already have goals, they never engage in the hard, disciplined effort of goal setting, the master skill of success.
USA Today reported on a study a couple of years ago. First, researchers selected people who made New Year's resolutions. Then they divided these people into two categories: those who made New Year's resolutions and wrote them down, and those who made New Year's resolutions, but neglected to write them down.
Twelve months later, they followed up on the respondents in this study. What they found was astonishing! Of the people who made New Year's resolutions but neglected to write them down, only 4% actually followed through on their resolutions.
However, among the group that took a few minutes to record their New Year's resolutions, 44% followed through on them. This difference of more than 1100% proves the simple act of crystallizing resolutions or goals on paper increases likelihood of success.
In my experience of working with several million people over the past twenty-five years, the disciplined act of setting goals, making plans for their accomplishments, and then working on them daily, increases the likelihood of achieving your goals by ten times, or 1000%.
This does not mean that goal setting guarantees success, only that it increases the probabilities of success by ten times. These are very good odds to have working in your favor.
To me, every aspect of a network marketing business is a challenge. The website building, SEO and all of the other aspects of marketing yourself online is a fun and challenging learning curve. It is definitely a skill that can always be perfected on. Trust me. I'm only getting started and have SO much to learn. I love it though.
Regarding the company I chose to represent, it was VERY important to me to LOVE the product. Personally, I just have to whole-heartedly believe in it.

It's nice to know a little about someone before you decide to join them in an exciting business journey, hence, why I've decided to write here.
I'm always a bit hesitant to reveal too much over the "super highway" known as the global Internet. HOWEVER, it is because of this great communication tool, that we are able to build strong together, establish long-lasting friendships and reach far beyond our expectations with our incredible business opportunitiy and products. Let me say, I am having difficulty sleeping because there is SO much I want to do, learn, "get out there" and so forth with the company and product we have here at hand called Chews-4-Health.
Yes, network marketing is in my blood. It's nearly almost guaranteed to create a stir of excitement within me. It's been known to keep my husband and I up until the wee hours! I believe that either you got it in you or you don't. That is ~ hope of the successes you often hear about. Everyone at some point has had BIG dreams. Some people give up on their dreams early. Yet, others have the SPIRIT that it takes to NEVER give up. I would rather fail hundreds of times at things I love to do than to NEVER try. By never trying or taking risks, you are GUARANTEED that you'll not succeed with it for sure.

Some like to "play it safe." For me, I love the excitement and adventure of the journey. Have you ever watched the movie The Peaceful Warrior with Nick Nolte? Well, in that movie you learn that it is NOT always about the destination but rather the JOURNEY that makes life fulfilling.

A bit about me now. My name is Brenda and I've been an RN since... forever it seems. HA. It truly is a wonderful profession and I do enjoy teaching and caring for my patients. However, I am always looking for ways to be free! HA. Options would be nice. I am married ... and together, Bill and I have four boys that we are incredibly proud of.
My hubby, Bill, has been in various sales positions over the years. Some of which have taken him away from home for as long as a month at a time. Hmmmm. "Freedom doesn't sound too bad, huh?
Both of us were born and raised in the Mid-West states and we've always had our eye on Colorado as our home. But somewhere in the midst, we found ourselves taking the long road to get here. Well, we are finally here in Colorado and love it. I cant say enough about those beautiful mountains. Everyday, I get to look outside and see them. AWE...
As parents, we have experienced the craziness of overlapping schedules and suppertime practices. The unexpected "fender bender" and the cost of various activities. It is never ending. What ever happened to 'FREE' and organized evenings? Last year, we had three boys in college! Yikes. Our youngest is entering "teen-hood" and will keep us hopping.
Of course, we're all aware of the statistics that 97-98 % of people hardly make a dime in this business. BUT ... it's that 2-3% chance, right? Network marketing has gotten a bad wrap because SO many DO fail in it. However, I believe that many times, people get into network marketing thinking that it will work miracles and you really don't have to WORK at it. Then there are those who TRY to work at it and approach ALL of their friends, family and neighbors, you know, their warm list and get turned down. They quickly become a member of the NFL list, meaning "NO friends or family left." People get ashamed or embarrassed and blame the industry.
Maybe they were dream stealers, really not wanting to see you succeed. Perhaps your friends and family DID try it with you, failed, lost money and blame you. Who really knows. Nonetheless, MLM may not have been a comfortable road.
Network marketing on the other hand, is a very efficient way to do business. The power of referral or world of mouth is and has the ability to change financial futures for individuals regardless of the boundaries of age, race or income level. Big names such as Warren Buffet and Robert Kiyosaki, praise network marketing. It is NOTHING to scoff at.

It's time to start thinking of TAKING CONTROL OF OUR FUTURE.
Think of your network marketing company as an "insurance policy" to protect your assets.
I'm sure I am not the only one who knows of someone who has been laid off at their workplace. Maybe they've lost their entire pension. Here they thought they were doing the right thing ... the safe and secure thing ... to ensure their livelihood in later years. This is NOT necessarily the case anymore. More and more, we are seeing that there are NO GUARANTEES. Now is the time to take action and often times that means to take risks. Sir Richard Branson gave the quote on the risk of entrepreneurship.

In fact, when you finally DO make the decision to set goals for yourself in new areas and succeed, it generates a strong feeling of ACCOMPLISHMENT & SELF-PRIDE. Coincidently, you will most likely build some long lasting FRIENDSHIPS during the process!
